Kiln

Fired, grained and torn at the edges. For work with a hand in it.

See it as a shop →

Built for a maker who exhibits as well as sells — a ceramicist, a printmaker, a small studio with a history worth listing. It assumes the work has been somewhere before it reached the shop.

Every join is deliberately imperfect. Sections meet along a torn edge rather than a ruled line, and a fine grain sits over the whole page, so a stack of blocks stops reading as a stack of blocks. Sections arrive as you scroll rather than all at once.

Two sections come with it and exist nowhere else: a dated list of shows and awards, which a testimonial block is the wrong shape for, and the torn divider that breaks the page up.

Sections only this theme has

  • Exhibitions & awardsA dated list of shows, awards or press.
  • Torn dividerA textured band with a broken edge instead of a straight rule.

An invented business, used to build and preview the theme. Nothing here is for sale.

Themes are not purchasable yet — billing for them is still being built. The preview is the whole theme running, so there is nothing hidden behind the price.

If you want this one adapted to your shop, or something built from nothing, that is a conversation rather than a checkout. ex@akashi.studio
