Wheel-thrown from a shed at the back of the block. Every piece is one of a run of thirty, and the run is not repeated.
Everything here is thrown, trimmed, glazed and packed by the same person, in a shed with one kiln and no staff. That is the whole operation, and it is the reason a run is thirty and not three hundred.
Work is fired twice, once to bisque and once with the glaze, so what arrives has been through the kiln as many times as it can be. Small variations between pieces in a run are the process, not a fault in it.
The glaze pools differently on every one of the four. I did not expect to have a favourite tumbler, and yet.
Packed better than anything I have been sent. Straw, a hand-written note, and not one chip.
